CōV – Wayzata, MN

Brunch with friends over the weekend is one thing but brunch with friends over the weekend in a perfect sunny setting by the lake is whole different level. Such was the case for CōV at Wayzata during my visit. CōV is located in the heart of downtown Wayzata, right in the middle of Lake Street. Ananta and I went for brunch for my birthday this year (summer) and absolutely fell in love. We sat outside in the patio which was perfect for weekend brunch. As we were walking to our table, I almost felt like I was part of some movie. The background music (old classic) played a big role. I loved it. Comfortable and relaxed would be the correct words to describe the brunch ambience.

Classic Eggs Benedict

DSC08048We were served with complimentary caramel roll with strawberry cream cheese and caramel sauce on the side.  Apparently this is only available for Sunday brunch. We also got a classic egg Benedict and a smoked salmon hash. My favorite among the two and maybe the entire brunch menu has to be  the smoked salmon hash! It was cooked right to perfection. The fried potatoes had the right crispiness and the salmon wasn’t overcooked.  Pair it with a fresh mimosa and you are good to start your day right…or in our case it was the start of the end of a perfect weekend.

Love this spot! There aren’t enough lakeside restaurants in the Mpls area! Have you been to COV Edina yet?

Me too especially in summer for brunches. I agree that there aren’t many lakeside restaurant given the fact that we have 10000+ lakes!!! I haven’t been the Edina location yet but it’s on my list.

Oh you should I think! It’s a cute little neighborhood with many shops and it’s growing now. Also really fun to go for a walk after lunch or for evening walks by the lake street!
