Travel Diaries: Ames, Iowa

DSC01432_feature_img

Last weekend A and I took a quick road trip to Ames. A graduated from Iowa State and I spent my freshman year in Iowa State. So we both have lot of memories and friends from this place. We stayed at one of our friends’ place and just had a relaxing weekend filled with good food, nice walks and fun night out.

I always find it hard to decide what to take and what not to take in these kind of short trip, especially when you don’t have a specific plan. I decided to take a carry on roller bag. It might sound a little too much for a weekend but A and I were sharing this bag. So it made sense to carry one slightly large bag then two small bags.

Game of Mancala apparently is the oldest game ever played. Although it looks simple, there is a lot of tactics involved.

We went to restaurants that we used to go back then. Some things still haven’t changed like Thai Kitchen and Cafe Beaudelaire 🙂

Soon it was time to say goodbye to Ames and head home.
