The Cookbook Club – July/August 2020

Happy July everyone! Time is just flying by although everything around us has slowed down a lot. Well, a new month means a new cookbook for the cookbook club! If you are new here, do make sure to read about the cookbook club here.

The last cookbook for May/June, Cherry Bombe was a hit. I didn’t get to cook all the recipes but I think I got a chance to try a good number of recipes. Some turned out amazing like the Lemony Lentil soup while some didn’t look right like the last one I cooked, Korean Beef soup. It still tasted great. It just didn’t look like the picture in the book and I have a feeling it has a lot to do with the kind of seaweed I used!

Anyhow..for this and next month’s cookbook club, I have chosen a non-traditional cookbook. The name of the book is Family Meal and it is a digital cookbook. The main reason behind choosing this cookbook is the fact that all proceeds from the book sale will go to help restaurants that have suffered due to the pandemic. Plus the price point is just right and there is no waiting time in trying the recipes!

If you already have this book in your collection, do let me know what you most enjoyed cooking. Otherwise happy cooking!
