As the title suggests, I tried making coconut macaroons. I have been wanting to try making macaroons (just because they look cute like a button!) but the complicated and strict steps always made me nervous. So I put off the idea of even trying . Recently I found a very simple recipe for coconut macaroons posted by ourgorgeouschaos, oh hey sister!
I followed all the steps as listed with one exception. I added more coconut that recommended. My mixture turned very runny and watery so I added some more coconut just to make it a little thicker. My macaroons are little darker than ourgorgeouschaos‘s. That is because I forgot to turn off the oven (oops!) and cooked it a little more than I was supposed to. Nevertheless, I think they turned out pretty good. I got a “I like this” from A and I love them too. So it is all good!
